AIIMS PG (Postgraduate) exam is directed by the All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) as an entrance exam for admission to its post graduate courses such as MD/MS/MCh (06 years)/MDS. AIIMS PG exam is conducted twice an academic year, first in the month of January and next in the month of July. Students have the choice of appearing for any one session of AIIMS PG entrance exam for Post-Graduate & Post-Doctoral Course as per convinence. This exam is also used as a common eligibility crieteria for admission to Master in Hospital Administration (MHA) and Ph.D. courses of study.

Eligibility:-
A candidate must possess MBBS degree for MD/MS and BDS degree for MDS courses of a University recognized by the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India and must have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating internship/Practical training
The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate in all the MBBS/BDS professional examinations for other category including OBC category and 50% for candidate belonging to SCs/STs.
Following is a STEP by STEP procedure for applying online for AIIMS PG Entrance Exam 2022:
- STEP # 01: Logon to www.aiimsexam.com
- STEP # 02: Registration and Login (Select the course which you wish to apply for and click on the GO button).
- STEP # 03: Login Page (if you are a new applicant you are required to register your personal details. If you have already registered login using your application number and password).
- STEP # 04: Fill in the AIIMS PG Entrance Exam 2022 online application form (All starred marked entries are mandatory.After the required information is filled, kindly check the undertaking / declaration and click on Save & Proceed button).
- STEP # 05: After clicking on Save & Proceed button, a confirmation page will appear. (This should be used to re-check the details entered. To confirm your details click on Save & Proceed button otherwise click on Edit button to edit the details).
- STEP # 06: Upload your latest passport sized photograph/signature and left thumb impression. (Supported format of file include gif, png, jpg, jpeg). If you do not have the same at the time of registration click on the "skip" button).
- STEP # 07:Payment of application fee (Payment of application fee can be done through SBI bank challan or through debit/credit card.
- STEP # 08:Generate Registration slip (You can take print of Registration Slip once payment is approved by Bank. (Click on Print Registration Slip link to take print from My Status section on My Page).
Application Fee:-
General/ OBC Category: Rs.1000/-(SC/ST Category: Rs. 800/- ) + Transaction Charges as applicable.
Payment through computer generated Challan Form in any branch of State Bank of India (S.B.I.) or through Debit /Credit Card.
- Do not send the hardcopy of any document to AIIMS.
- Keep your application number, password, e-mail ID,printed registration slip and copy of challan form safely for future reference.
- These would be required at selection and admission procedure including counselling.

AIIMS PG Entrance Exam 2022 Pattern:-
M.D./M.S. & M.D.S Entrance Exam Pattern:-
Selection will be made entirely on the basis of merit in the entrance examination and the choice of subject will be allocated on the basis of personal counseling.
The entrance test for MD/MS will consist of one paper of 3 hours duration containing 200 multiple choice questions covering all the subjects taught at MBBS level. For MDS, the duration of paper will be 90 minutes containing 90 multiple choice questions covering all the subjects taught at BDS level. There is 1/3 negative marking for wrong answers in the test.
